Who are we?
The Footbridge North Hotel is a quiet and intimate hotel perfect for the adult traveler who is searching for a peaceful, relaxing retreat. Located just 2 miles from the Wells Amtrak station and 27 miles from the Portland Jetport. The Atlantic beaches are just over 1 mile away and the Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve is only 3 miles from the hotel. We are unable to accommodate children. There isn’t a child guest rate. There is no playground or play area for children.
The Footbridge North room Rates are based on the dates of your stay and the type of room(s). The categories are; Kings , Doubles, Queen Standard, Queen Studio Apartment and (4) adjoining rooms on the second floor to form a Suite. There is (1) Handicap Accessible room with a queen size bed, refrigerator, coffeemaker, microwave oven and a dining table with 2 chairs. Flat screen TV and WiFi (free).
- The Kings include one king size bed, full size bathroom, wet bar, refrigerator, coffeemaker, microwave oven, dining table with 2 chairs and a placesetting for 2. Flat screen TV and WiFi (free)
- The Doubles include two full sized beds, a full sized bathroom, refrigerator, coffeemaker, microwave oven and a dining table with 2 chairs. Flat screen TV and WiFi (free). Each King on the second floor is adjacent to a Double room with an adjoining door. When the two rooms are rented, they form a suite. The suite option is available on the second floor only and can be reserved by calling the hotel directly.
- There is one Queen Standard Suite located on the hotel’s second floor. It is much larger than our other rooms and features a spacious bathroom, refrigerator, coffeemaker, microwave oven, dining table with 2 chairs. Flat screen TV and WiFi (free). This unit features its own balcony.
- There is one Queen Studio Apartment. This accommodation is the only room with a kitchen. This accommodation is for 2 adults and is located in the rear of the Main house.

Reservation requests can be made directly from this site by using the “Book it Now” tab on our home page, or we are happy to take your reservation over the phone at 1-207-200-4692. Please call us directly for suite availability and pricing. A Roll-away bed is available for a $15.00 charge per day, based on availability, and can only be accommodated in our Double rooms. We do not have cribs or bedding for children. Please call ahead to reserve the a Roll-away bed. Please be advised: room rates are based on double occupancy only. Each additional guest is charged $20.00 per day regardless of age.
The minimum age to reserve a guest room at the Footbridge North Hotel is 25 years of age.
Check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out time is 10:00 AM. We love our guests and are as flexible as possible! If you require an early check in or a later check out, just call ahead of time to speak with Lisa at 207-415-9462. We’ll always do our best to accommodate you when you arrive.
Our Front Desk is staffed 24 hours a day and the owners live on-site.
Deposit and Cancellation Policies:
Minimum Stays: A two night minimum stay may be required on the weekends, July 1 through September 31. A minimum stay is required on holiday weekends and special events.
Non High Season Cancellation (May opening day – June 30th, with the exception of Memorial Day weekend and the weeks following the September Labor Day holiday weekend to the October Columbus Day holiday weekend)
A Credit Card is required for reservations. Each reservation must be guaranteed with a deposit of one night’s stay, due at the time of reservation. Reservations made for multiple days are subject to an additional deposit, totaling 50% of the balance of the reservation. Guarantees may be paid with Visa, Mastercard or Discover. A credit card processing fee is assessed at the time the reservation is made. Full payment is due upon check-in. A credit card processing fee can be avoided by paying for the balance in US cash. Cancellations must be received 7 days prior of arrival to recover your deposit, less a $30.00 cancellation fee. Cancellations received within 7 days of your arrival will forfeit your deposit. Credit card processing fees are non-refundable. We do not offer refunds for bad weather or early departure.
High Season Cancellation (July 1- September Labor Day)
In July and August, a “High-Season” cancellation policy is enforced. Each reservation must be guaranteed with a deposit of one night’s stay, due at the time of reservation. Reservations made for multiple days are subject to an additional deposit, totaling 50% of the balance of the reservation. Guarantees may be paid with Visa, Mastercard or Discover. A credit card processing fee is assessed at the time the reservation is made. Full payment is due upon check-in. A credit card processing fee on the balance can be avoided by paying for the balance in US cash. Reservations booked for high season stay cannot be cancelled. The deposit and fees are nonrefundable. If a cancellation is a part of a multi-night stay, then the entire reservation will be cancelled and no guarantee of availability for occupancy will be honored.
Promotional offers and holiday stays require payment in full for the entire reservation, are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Additional persons per room: There is a nightly, per room charge of $20.00 per person plus tax for each additional guest that exceeds double occupancy. Doubles have a maximum of 5 persons per room. Kitchenettes have a maximum of 2 people per room. The Handicap Accessible room and Queen suite each has a maximum of 2 people per room. Due to software limitations, our online reservation system is unable to honor a roll away bed request. Please email or phone us directly if you require a 1 roll-away bed (subject to availability) to your reservation at Lisa@FootbridgeNorth.com. Additional persons not booked at the time of arrival will be charged at the owner’s discretion.

Credit Cards: Visa/MasterCard/Discover. We do not accept American Express due to their high processing fees. Credit card numbers given to confirm reservations will be processed the day the reservation is taken. Credit card imprints are required at check-in. We do not retain credit card numbers of our guests. Each new reservation will require your credit card number.
Smoking and Pet Policy: The Footbridge North is a non-smoking and pet free facility.
All rental units are non-smoking and we love pets as much as you do but we do not allow pets. If upon departure any evidence of smoking or an unauthorized pet has stayed in the room, a minimum of a $250 fine will be charged on the credit card you presented upon arrival. We do our very best to accommodate guests with these allergies and hope that all guests will respect our non-smoking, pet free policy.
The Pool is open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. No GLASS IS PERMITED at the pool. There is NO LIFEGUARD on duty. Guests use the pool at their own risk. For the enjoyment and relaxation of all our guests, pool toys and/or flotation devices are not permitted in the pool or pool area. Our pool is located away from any street noise and is nestled amongst the trees. Our guests comment again and again how tranquil and relaxing it is. At the end of the day, you will often find our guests mingling amongst each other discussing their day’s activities and planning their evening events. The Footbridge North Hotel does not have a designated play area or playground for children.

Free parking on site: Each room is assigned 1 parking space. Suites, which are a combination of 2 rooms, have 2 parking spaces. Additional parking is available based on the occupancy of the hotel.
